This is a long shot but... I'm looking for some wheels for the Hyundai Donkey Pony winter hack. I'd prefer Wellers or similar.... obviously as I paid buttons for the car I don't want to throw money at it, but if anyone's got anything lying around going cheap, let me know!  |

Cool! I have a set of Escort cloverleafs... could try them (although I have a suspicion they're 4x98 or something...) According to the R-R fitment guide, Austin, Datsun / Nissan, Mitsi, Honda, Rover and newer Volvo wheels all fit Spoilt for choice! Really want some Wella steels though, for that "Council Estate Banger" look NickB was on with!  |

Got some AMG Penta 5 spokes, 16x8j You'd have to re-drill your hubs though |

Fords are 4x108, the Hyundai Stellar used a lot of Ford-esque parts. If the Pony is 4x114 then there's quite a selection available. It's the metric-ised measurement for 4x4.5", that's Triumph 2000/2500/Stag, MGB, TR3-6 (yay..big steels!), older Toyotas/Nissans, Datsuns and of course Lotus Elite/Eclat (yes, that's what I run on my Cressida). FWD fitments include Volvo V40s, Rover 800s and some their Honda equivalents.
Where are you based? I've got a set of 'spare' Lotus wheels and an odd Stag rim for you to test if you are close.

I'm in Nottingham... I'm guessing you're down south though  There IS a good selection isn't there?! It's definitely not urgent as I'm only dicking around with the Donkey - I was thinking of stripping out the interior and doing some other daft mods (lowered, flames (Waynes World stylee ) and other such sillyness. My thinking was that a set of steelies or some Wellers would be dirt cheap and look totally non-Chav (I must avoid that at all costs  ) But it's certainly not a car I want to spend any serious money on Cappucino - Those Pentas wouldn't be going anywhere near the Donkey! Would look vv nice on the Merc though  I'm totally brassic lint at the minute though, otherwise I'd buy 'em!! |
