I need to replace the closing panel on my girlfriends beetle just wondered if anyone has experience of how to do this as I cant entirely figure out how it welds in with relation to the floorpann heater channel/ body any tips would be appreciated..before i just charge in with my angle grinder she (cant beleive i just typed that) i mean IT is a 72 if thats relevant pic below-

hello mate if the closing panel needs replacing than chances are that the heater channel needs replacing, they rot from the inside out. you cant really do a closing panel with out taking the body of and when you do that you normally find that it needs a lot more than just that replacing. spend most of my life welding these cars up. cheers rob
