So I was at a clients today. Nice big house in the cotswolds, big beemer, merc and porsche boxter in the drive. The boxter belonged to the lady who's Mac I was fixing.
We needed some parts so she offered to drive me back into town. She was just itching to drive the Porsche since she only got it at the weekend and had saved for years apparently.
So in to town we go. I'm thinking "great, rich wife, brand new porsche, live not fair, how come we only have crappy golf, bet she couldn't drive it for toffy, what a waste, etc.
In passing I asked her what she did as she has alluded to the vanity plate on the car being her stage name.
It turns out that she is...wait for it. The UK's best known woman stunt driver. She also does motorcycle display, stunt flying and holds the womans distance record for jumping a car.
We discussed stunt driving for a bit, (she'd been doing the ambulance driving in casualty as they have a woman paraedic driver in the cast atm, and she was explaining how to drive on two wheels.
Safe to say I was gobsmacked, and I'm assuming she could drive the car, although she was Mrs calm behind the wheel all the time.
Fair made my day it did.
