Greetings all. Today I picked up a (new to me) 2021 Mtsubishi RVR. (could also be called a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport) It is pretty basic but has all I need. What it doesn't have is the side sensors and rear backup/ people passing alarm that more equipped cars have. Has anyone every tried to fit these with Mitsubishi parts? What I am really asking is this, I know that others in this forum have found that the wiring was in place for add ons - could this be possible here? Does that even make sense> thanks all and a pic or two

Whilst asking doesn’t hurt, I really don’t think this is the forum for the ask in question. Good luck with the upgrade though, I imagine you’d need to retrofit an awful lot of parts including the radar sensors and control module.

You mean a proximity alarm?
I suspect not just the wiring, but the sensors and the appropriate alarm module, and then quite likely the dealer computer or a clone to program the module to recognise the new parts and activate the function. That's a guess, but I suspect a fair one. As Rich rightly points out, a Mitsy forum would be a better bet.
Probably easier and a lot less expensive to have a quality aftermarket alarm with proximity function (and lager or text message too if you like) fitted.

He means the blind spot monitoring system rather than an alarm feature. But much the same deal I would imagine.

That’s the trouble with these modern motors. Too much nonsense on them making people rely less on driving and using their senses. Drove my sons new(ish) merc a class to the shops, too many functions on it. Sorry that’s no help but . . .

From my experience with Mitsubishi's I'd highly doubt there would be wiring installed just waiting for the sensors. More likely the sensors would come with their own wiring to connect to existing bulkhead connectors and extra sections of wiring to connect between those and fuse and relay boxes, also the control units probably arn't fitted. With enough googling you should be able to find Mitsubishi technical manuals online but they arn't easy reads. This was me trying to fix some dodgy wiring on my (sorry it's as retro as I can go here) 2003 3.5 litre petrol Shogun.

Thanks all. I did actually find a kit on alibaba express that even includes new mirrors with the lights. Haven’t decided yet whether to order it. Thanks for your advice.
