There are two types of Starchem paint stripper, TSC-50 at about £20 & PS50 at about £40, the latter is heavy duty "professional use only". Is the former (cheaper) type an good? the other brand stuff from D.I.Y. shops ain't what it used to be.

Answered my own question, the main ingredient in paint stripper used to be Dichloromethane, this is nasty stuff & since 2009 has been restricted to professional use only, the D.I.Y. products now contain an inferior substitute.

Neither are particularly great but yes you need the PS50 to have any chance.
