Chaps, I am on the lookout for a pair of factory exhaust 6 bolt manifolds with the rear downpipe outlet, not the centre outlet version. They are to fit my 1992 Chevy CK1500 with the 350 TBI engine so pre Vortec. Of course Rock Auto have them but carraige charges on 2 cast iron manifolds would require selling a kidney Thanks for reading!

Grizz, I'm rather uneducated as to which vehicles used the same rear exit so have not explored any other FB pages than the UK OBS page. I could definitely look at Nigels page.

Think I might have 1 in the shed, will look at the weekend. Any reason not to use headers? Once you factor in the price of the shipping you are going to be pretty close in cost. P.

Paul, it has headers on now (brand unknown) but I don't want to be fighting with the curse word design whereas the 10mm bolts are so close to the tubes, you cant even get a thin wall socket or ring spanner on them. I have read to dent the tubes next to the header bolt holes and/or go for 8mm bolts neither of which fills me with excitement! The rear most bolt is a nightmare to remove and even when I get it out eventually, torqueing then down again to stop further gasket leakage seems to be a guaranteed weakpoint. Going with stock manifolds seems a better long term solution.

We dent them in all the time. Makes no difference to performance.

Mission failed.. Only ram horns I am afraid. P. Cheers Paul, your efforts are appreciated. I have been passed today a pair from Mr S so will hopefully try fit them next week. They look right so fingers crossed! Otherwise, the hunt goes on

We dent them in all the time. Makes no difference to performance. I think Freiburger and dulchich did a good experiment on an episode of engine masters where they dented one pipe so bad it was almost shut and it made zero difference on the dyno. A result of youtube comments slating them for bashing headers to make fit on a previous project.

Bit late to the chat. I quite possibly may have some manifolds. But they do sell header bolts with an Allen head on them. So don't need a spanner or socket to fit them. Get some new gaskets and some of the Allen bolted bolts. Should be good to go then. Good luck. If you still want to go the manifold route. I could quite possibly help. My number is 07nine five seven417505. Best to actually Whatsapp me. As I love in a bad reception area. I'm not a scammer. I know Paul Y. Plus Dez and others on here. Have a. Good day all. Thanks Roland

Thanks Roland Cheers Roland, appreciated. I have seen those allen head bolts, suppose as long as they are hardened steel, they may not round off after time. It's either them or trying 8mm head bolts.
