Today I've switched my mobile over to use the 'Desktop' mode permanently, with an eye to fixing up all the little (and big) issues Desktop mobile has. Then I'll flip the button to move everyone over to that view. How did you do that ? I was under the impression it was browser dependant, IIRC there's no option in Firefox, Chrome to default to desktop view (Android devices, no idea about other OS's) I think the option is there on Brave & Edge, not sure of any others

Fair warning Private Messages don't work well (due to needing to change the avatar display on them to match the main forums), and Profiles display is a bit rough. There are also some other little graphical issues, but they can be ignored (button sizes not being uniform etc.) Picture uploader works though, the scans thread I put up last night was done on my mobile (and pulling images from OneDrive which was nice )

Ahh, you only see it on the mobile site, below the ads. I normally have my browser set to desktop so hadn't seen it 👍 I'll give it a whirl later 😎

Really wanted B310 HTW for my Sunny, but I don't think I'm allowed to put that on (it's a T reg, if anyone knows different) Sadly, you are correct HoTWire - you can't make a car appear newer than it is.... R2 HTW is currently available on Regtransfers for a mere £800 (including the DVLA Transfer fee) However, R12 HTW is available on the DVLA for £250 dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/buy.html?plate=R12%20HTW&price=250Yes, this. Which is precisely why I haven’t purchased BE11 END for my sons 06 plate Mini 😄

Yeah, I was going to buy KL07ZAK before we decided we weren't returning, but it wouldn't go on my '06 GTI, sadly.

I finished making the manifold back exhaust for my Clio and now I'm really confused because it's mainly made out of a chopped up system from a GT86, and it's now got a real flat 4 warble going on. Definitely not a misfire as it (relatively) goes like the clappers, just sounds like a Subaru in the process. Quoting myself as I'm pretty sure on why it's doing it - after I'd spent 7 hours slowly chipping away at the manifold to downpipe nuts I took the manifold off to drill the remains out. At the time I noticed there was a hairline crack in it but as there was no soot round it assumed it didn't go through. With hindsight I caused the crack with the hammering, and now it's only getting 3 and a bit pots worth of exhaust noise, and chugging fuel because it'll be buggering the lambda signal. Gonna double check at work tomorrow but 99% sure that'll be the issue.

How did you do that ? I was under the impression it was browser dependant, IIRC there's no option in Firefox, Chrome to default to desktop view (Android devices, no idea about other OS's) I think the option is there on Brave & Edge, not sure of any others Right at the very very bottom of the page there should be a button that says Desktop. Fair warning Private Messages don't work well (due to needing to change the avatar display on them to match the main forums), and Profiles display is a bit rough. There are also some other little graphical issues, but they can be ignored (button sizes not being uniform etc.) Picture uploader works though, the scans thread I put up last night was done on my mobile (and pulling images from OneDrive which was nice ) On my iPhone, I can get a half desktop mode, by hitting the 'Request Desktop mode' icon in the top toolbar. Quite handy, especially for photo uploading. Back to the chat . I myself have wanted to sort out my shelving in the garage, as both the E91 and the E46 M3 need work. M3 will be the winter project. However, any time I have seems to vanish. A few things in the background haven't helped, and of course, it's Xmas season, so it's not bad to catchup with friends and family. The year does seem to be relentless however. Besides that. -I helped a mate fix his Jaguar X150 XK. It's an early car, which, naturally, has old, early car issues. His issue was that the driver's seat would not go upright enough from the low rider position ; Great if you are auditioning for the role of a low rider/gangster, horrific to live with on a day-to-day basis. After having him dig up an old laptop, having me wipe the machine clean, install Windows 10, and then SDD (JLR's diagnostic software), we were finally able to recalibrate the seat, so anyone, of any type of person, could now sit in the car. A little silly, that the seat loses its trim settings if you leave the battery off for a while, but I suppose that's an old Jag for you. -The work I did earlier on this year with the 325d proved itself well. Instead of firing up on half of the cylinders on a cold morning, all cylinders fired up well, and if I am being honest, even better than when the car is warm, not that it's a bad hot starter. Another thing? Motorbiking in cold weather does suck! I'll be investing in some better warm gear, with heated gloves high up the list.
