For Sale - a LHD Lancia/Autobianchi Y10 GTie.
Y10s are pretty rare in this country now, and as the range topper, the GTie is rarer still (it was the replacement for the Turbo in the Y10 line up). This one has done just over 91,000 miles, and it's a bit tatty, but it's fundamentally a good solid car. The main flaw with this car is the dashboard - the plastic was cracked and when you went over a bump it rattled alarmingly. I bought it in August 2020 as a running fun Covid project, in January 2021 I removed the dashboard to strengthen it, and I have never put it back in again. As a result, it is a non-running project and will need trailering away.
As you can see from the pictures, the exterior is pretty good, and although there are a reasonable number of paint blemishes the only rust I found was a small spot on one of the doors. The interior seats is pretty faded, and the drivers seat has some tears in the base, but it comes with seat covers, so you don't notice it in practise. The majority of the plastics and other trim is OK, but the dashboard has been cut to fit an aftermarket AC unit (no longer installed) where the glovebox was, probably contributing to the cracks that it has. I have repaired some of these, using epoxy and plastic welding, and where possible I have replaced the fixings that the speedo and heating units attach to, so it should be more sturdy - now would be the best time to improve that if you are able. The best solution would be a replacement dash unit from France or another LHD country - in good condition they are quite stylish. There is a stereo, but it probably needs looking at properly once the dash is installed - while it had power, it wasn't connected to the speakers! I suspect the speakers are the originals and past their best anyway.
There is a large folder of history, though the first part seems to be in French (it initially lived in Belgium), and the next part is in Greek (it lived in Cyprus). I put new tyres on it (including the spare) in Autumn 2020, and it has probably done less than 100 miles on them.
It comes with a set of 14" FIAT wheels (the current ones are 13"), and some spare parts including a grille and rear brake shoes. It comes with keys and documents and a Lancia manual and a FIAT Panda manual (they share certain components). All the different dashboard wiring plugs are labelled up, and there is a diagram showing where it should all go, so if you are skilled at this sort of thing I would expect it to be relatively straightforward, but I am getting out of old cars, so just want this to find a home.
