Jammy curse word.
Comprex blowers intrigue me (moreso than just imagining a japanese girl saying 'complex') but I've only ever seen them mentioned on a single mazda and heavy plant kit...

Cool Theres another Comprex on Evilbay at the moment I am gutted I just missed out on a V6 AMG Lysholm as that would have been Ideal for "Phase 2" when the spare Bottom end gets built with steel rods and Forged pistons ;D Still debating the twin charging route as well for some monster top end.... you still planning that for the Imp 2nd phase ?

Actually...A thought about comprex blowers - how much are they effected by rotational speed? Do they 'flow' as well at low 1,500RPM as they will at 9krpm?

Ive found out that pauter do conrods for GTti's The Comprex should flow pretty well, I'd put it on a smallish engine I think, its mostly out of curiosity that I got it. The IHI turbos and wastegates cost me £200!!!! Spent 5 hrs picking them up yesterday, i think that it was worth it, ill keep one and sell two I think, same with the wastegates. Twin charging still plays on my mind, the system would be easy to achieve really, just expensive as there is a lot of kit involved. I saw that lysholm too, looks very spanky, came with an M45 aswell, I was very tempted indeed. I also have a Lancia Delta Integrale intercooler on its way, another bargin of off evilbay! J

Wonder how quick the F1 turbos would spool as a pair on a 4.5 v8.....

very well i would imagine, they came from a defunct sports car manufacturer and were going to be tested on a V8. I'm going to get some maps from IHI. I also found out that the subaru WRC car uses them and that the cores are £3800 EACH!!!! monster monster

If it is, carb and turbo from a Renault 5 GT Turbo would be ideal I'd have thought! Carbs are frequently coming up on t'bay. Not sure what turbos they use... my guess is some kind of KKK affair. Excellent blower haul J_TMP! Comprex is luuuurvely!
