Work is completely doing my head in today so taking a quick breath before I go postal....
After a short delay I am back on Woody this weekend with the aim of, at least, starting my exhaust routing.
Now, with the purchase of some proper mandrel bent 2 1/2" pipe it looks as if I can get the exhaust to the rear of the truck BUT.... it means running really close to the fuel tank.
So, my question is. Does anybody actually know how close is to close to a fuel tank when it comes to exhaust?
How hot is a tail pipe after it has travelled 10ish feet from the engine? I could build a heat shield but would prefer not too if I don't have too.
The other reason for the question is that I think there is enough space between the top of the chassis rails and the wooden bed floor to loop the pipe over the top of the chassis and have a side exit. Might be a non starter if I am going to end top with a bed fire....
Anyway. Advice, recommendations or general urine extraction welcome.
