My old historic cars come up on places like totalcarcheck as ulez exempt, but one (although also mot exempt and free tax) comes up as NOT exempt. Any idea why, and what I can do about it if deemed to be a thing say .. to a buyer in a ULEZ zone?

Have you tried TFLs own charges checker? It should tell you all the charges which apply. tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/Shouldn't really matter as if the vehicle is over 40 years old that exempts it from the charge whatever anyone else says. |

Interestingly if you try and register one of mine it says you don't need to as it's already exempt yet when you run it through the "are you exempt" it lists ULEZ as a payable charge..
The whole systems is a curse word show tbh.

On the TFL site, it totally contradicts itself. When I put in the reg I get this  So I try to manually register it as per their form and I get this. Not confidence inspiring.  Only thing I can think of that is different to my other vehicles is that it is registered as a minibus. |

Exactly the same as mine. Wouldn't worry about it tbh. If you did get a fine you would win an appeal. I've not been through the ULEZ yet but I go through Birmingham all the time and that's basically the same rules.

As you've found the TFL checker doesn't recognise historics!
If the vehicle is registered as historic you'll be fine with no come back.
We have multiple historics in the family within the ULEZ and have never had an issue.

If it’s a minibus it might be classified as a ‘commercial’ vehicle. Those aren’t exempt…
