How can one new one not fit despite being able to swap them. Binds after a turn. Old one goes in and out easy too.
I swapped them around and both new ones fit the drivers side smoothly.
But both new ones refused to go on passenger side.
Yet old item I removed goes on and off easily.
Helpโฆ.!!

I would run a tap and die down each thread before checking again.๐

Does the old nearside one fit on the driver's side? If not I'd think thread pitch as suggested by duggers

Is it possible one side has a metric thread, the other is imperial?

Old Drivers side fits both sides.
Old passenger side fits both sides.
New items both only fit drivers side.
Confused.

Old Drivers side fits both sides. Old passenger side fits both sides. New items both only fit drivers side. Confused. I'd be inclined to run a die along the steering arm section of both sides, and possibly run a tap down both new track rod ends to confirm/remedy any thread issues on either side. Would also show up if one is UNF instead of metric thread that way

Can you see anything on the threads that may be causing the binding? Could be microscopic damage. Still doesn't explain why the old ones fit though?

Run through and run over with appropriate Tap and Dies to clean it all up, Borrowed from neighbour Stuart who has bought Sallyโs Opel Corsa. Old and new. Weird sh!t Thanks for the responses and advice.
