Forgive me for I am begging - I wouldn't normally ask but in these days where the kids talk about 'clout', 'insta' and 'tik-tok' I have no idea how to rustle up some votes for my car to win a free detailing: www.thdetailing.co.uk/voteIf you have the time/inclination, could you give a vote to my 1987 CROWN Victoria? It's the first on the list (the internal judges having already placed it in their top 5)...and Lord know she could use a proper paint resto as 15 minutes with Fairy liquid in a bucket just ain't doing it. As penance, here is this eponymous Taxi/Police car in some of her starring roles... The Beastie Boys Sabotage video Dallas Buyer's Club Dragnet (obviously) Matlock (even more obviously) Men in Black - K's car Just sneaking into shot in bearded antisemite Mel Gibson's movie Payback Sly Stallone's wagon in the 'hilarious' 90s flick 'Stop or My Mom Will Shoot' TJ Hooker And they were forever showing up in the X Files being driven by shady FBI-types As well as many, many more... I thank you for your time and apologise for taking advantage of your good natures :-)

The pedant in me feels the need to point out most of these are Ford LTDs, the LTD CROWN Victoria moniker was only for the top level trim version.

Any idea what LTD stands for? I've heard several different versions... Allegedly "Luxury Trim Decor", but also has been hinted that it means "Lincoln Town Design". I would go with the first one... Ps voted!!

You could have warned me there was a Austin in the line up. But as itβs you, I will give you my vote. Donβt do it again.

Ps voted!! Surely it can't be anything to do with Lincoln since other members of the Ford Family of Fine Cars used it too.

Any idea what LTD stands for? I've heard several different versions... It doesn't stand for anything, its a name unto itself. There's been many theories and 'statements' as to the acronym, but in reality its just Ford El-Tee-Dee.

I wonder if itβs just a yank thing somehow as they also use it on some Japanese motorcycles that are unique to the US market
