So mk2 son bought a driver for the electric oil pressure gauge he has, from that well known and universally adored auction site. I should say at this point that I’m not convinced this will work, I always thought gauges and senders had to be matched? Anyhoo, it’s helpfully* arrived without any wiring diagrams or instructions The terminals are marked ‘G’ and ‘WK’ which in my limited electrical knowledge usually means green, and white with pink tracer? Probably not in this case Ideas anyone? TIA

G is the gauge terminal. WK is the original warning lamp terminal. Assuming it’s VDO you just need to match the gauge range to the sender range, 10bar gauge uses a 10bar sensor etc.

If it's a VDO clone I wouldn't use the WK terminal for the warning light, but keep the original pressure sender for that (assuming that's an OEM part that switches at the correct pressure).

The issue with cheapies is that they usually don't tell you at which pressure the warning light switches on. Not that it matters much, if the light comes on it's usually too late anyway.

Yea, if I were planning on using the built in idiot lamp terminal I'd at least like to know the switching pressure to be fair.
