Citroen Ax GT mk1 H895FVU
Hedgefind! Well kind of........I obtained this Ax as part of a package deal involving 3 Ax's, a Saxo, a Trailer and a myriad of parts and spares.
Unfortunately i will not get round to this and have run out of space with the imminent return of my Ax GTi turbo which needs some attention and money spent on it!
So what is it......
It started life as a Citroen Ax GT mk1 in white then at some point was turned into a race car:
Mechanicals
Currently not running. Was running and driving when i bought it then refused to start (earth problem possibly).
Will require a brake overhaul and engine service at the minimum where it has sat for so long.
Gaz rear shocks (and probably fronts as well)
aftermarket exhaust system
slightly lowered i believe
Standard 3 stud hubs with GT wheels and GT/Sport steelies
Standard brake set up with uprated pads
small aluminium fuel tank/cell (accessible from inside)
1360cc TU3 engine
plumbed for an oil cooler (included but goosed after a track excursion i believe)
Interior
None!
ok there is some......
Suede/Alcantara steering wheel (old and showing it....)
Blue OMP bucket seat (out of date obviously) no side mounts
4" red harnesses (will check make)
Brake bias adjuster
Custom dash board with starter button/fuel pump switch/fan switch/ignition switch/transponder switch
Lifeline plumbed in extinguisher system with internal and external activation points
Safety Devices rollcage welded in and still showing homologation sticker
Exterior
White with hand painted touch ups
Once had Yokohama/Demon Tweeks sunstrips which make me think it was in either competing in 750cc/stock hatch
bumps bruises and battle scars all around (nearside worst after an intimate liaison with some Armco barriers)
headlamps needed (was on a daylight MOT in 2016/17)
bumpers and kit were originally red and are showing through again
fuel filler cap is aluminium (but just for show as its inside now)
Glass is there
bootlid is cracked on one side, front wings are dented and kit is off in places.
Rust - It's an Ax so yes there is some - rear nearside wing above the bumper line/rear lights is blistered
blistering inside the boot on the seams. Front inner wings have been welded previously.
Sunroof has been plated over with an aluminium panel riveted on. As has an old vent on the bonnet.
Bonnet has bonnet pins holding it on (one hinge is loose currently)
External battery disconnection switch and extinguisher switch in scuttle
Other things
Spare wings and arches, bootlid, rear bumper and wheels tyres available by negotiation
Car will need recovering, sadly i will not get around to it and would rather see it get back in action than rot away behind my house.
It will need moving fairly quickly as space is at a premium.
Located in South East London/Kent border near the A2/A20 Dartford Crossing.
Will give it a wash a put some new pictures up ASAP.
£1500
