Kenny Augustine built, fully ported Del West titanium valved, race cammed R1100 cylinder heads - the ultimate flat twin cylinder heads.
The ports floors are raised, exhaust ports moved outwards and the inlet tract is moved slightly too for the ultimate in flow (adapters supplied to get your throttle bodies at the exact angle and to raise the port centreline) they really are the ultimate in naturally aspirated cylinder heads for these flat twins.
They use flat faced Del West Titanium valves and retainers, the Ti valves are 2mm oversized. They run beryllium valve seats, lighter buckets and hi lift cams, custom made lash caps are also fitted.
Built by Kenny Augustine (give him a google) for the San Jose BMW California race bike team these had a development cost of over $10,000, Kenny ported all of the BMW Factory Race Team flat twins in the USA and was a tuning legend (seriously, google him).
I bought them from Chris Hodgson at San Jose BMW in 2017 for my race engine but hardly ever used as I got a Rotrex supercharger instead! They were brand new when developed and have only been run previously for development work and then a handful of races before sitting in dry storage since.
They ran on the dyno up to 11,000rpm but the noticeable stellar performance is from 4000rpm upwards. They run fine on standard super unleaded fuel.
Consider the price of a set of new heads, the porting development costs, titanium parts, cams, import costs into the Uk and how else you’d get the ultimate set of R1100 cylinder heads.
Price: £1800 - open to sensible offers from RetroRide reading folk though.
They will be shipped with valve covers on them but these are for keeping this side of the cylinder head assembly safe - the covers themselves are scuffed but serviceable. Based in Ivybridge, Devon, UK but will ship worldwide at cost. Uk shipping is at cost price with DPD and fully insured at a cost of £94.79.
