Today I had a reminder come in the post for the Corsair's yearly road tax renewal but it's road tax exempt what do you do?
When I have had tax exempt cars before I have not had a reminder about road tax renewal.
Is this something I need to take notice of?
What do the others here with tax exempt cars do?

One of my cars is tax exempt so based purely on my own experience - yes, you have to act on it. You go through the process online as if it’s a modern car, but it just nil rates the amount.
I didn’t do mine at first as I thought I didn’t have to as there was nothing to pay but then got a letter saying I was untaxed.

Hi, Tax exempt is a misnomer, it's easier to understand if you accept that strictly speaking it's not tax exempt but zero rated. You still need to have the required documentation, which in this case is insurance, it being MOT exempt. So just complete online.

Yes, you must go through the renewal, there have been cases where people have been fined for not either renewing or declaring SORN.
Like it says on the reminder form you received, "It is your responsibility to make sure the vehicle is taxed, even if you don't pay a fee for the vehicle tax."
I'm more surprised that you haven't had the same reminders for other zero-rated vehicles, I've only had mine exempt for a few years now but I've always had a reminder through, just with a zero cost on them.

Tagging onto this query, my cactus is zero rated tax.
Should I expect a reminder to come through the post to register my zero rated for the year?
Purchased on 27th December - I've had my V5 through (twice - one with original reg and second with private plate once I'd applied it)
I've also had my confirmation through that the ignis is no longer mine but I've not had a tax reminder through for the cactus yet. Can I go through the online process without a reminder?
I've tried it online and it says...
Registration number FR65HER
Vehicle make CITROEN
Tax class Petrol Car
Tax/SORN status Your vehicle will be taxed from 01 January 2021 Are you aware that your vehicle's current tax is not due to expire until 01 December 2021?
However, if you have been told to tax by DVLA, please continue with the transaction.
Current tax status could be because the Ignis that did bare that reg is still classified as taxed? Or is it because the tax status hasn't been removed from the vehicle that was applied by previous owner?

I learnt this from a helpful chap on this site a few years ago to make sure you go through the motions of taxing the car, Classic or No charge vehicles. I personally to to my Post office to do it once the reminder arrives as i get a receipt there and then. If your are in any doubt take your owners document to the Post Office so they can process it immediately. Our local Post Office manager is a great chap and very helpful and can usually sort out issues like this.

As it is over 40 years old, it should also be a "Historic Vehicle" It will say this on the V5c log book.
