Afternoon all. I have a few parts in the Midas which need to me either covered or painted. They were textured fibreglass panels (door panels and door pockets) but they've had damage in the past and have had to be filled and sanded. I *could* cover them with vinyl, but if I am honest , I really don't want to. Can I tap into RR's hive mind and can you recommend me a good product to use as I haven't used it before. An example of what needs to be covered:

I've had fairly good results using Plastikote textured spray paint, I think they call it stone, apply a good layer, once dry take it down a little with some abrasive paper and spray some satin black over that. Gives a similar finish to that of interior plastics. Also seems I've used Halfords textured paint too.... forum.retro-rides.org/post/2462415Although that stuff in the post above looks just as good.

Years ago when I had my MG Maestro I changed the door cappings for Montego VP ones. The VP ones had a wood veneered strip in them, but I thought it wouldnt suit the rest of the MG interior, so I wanted them to look like textured plastic. The only thing I had to hand that would give a textured finnish was a can of stonechip, so I tried a light coat of that and went over it with satin black. No one could tell they weren't plastic, so mission accomplished I guess. Might help.

I had to do the same thing on the fiberglass bumper cover on my TR7, I used an aerosol of Hammerite black stone chip I had lying around, came out surprisingly well and seems to be lasting OK

I've used halfords bumper paint before on interior parts, it's been fine, although the black isn't really black.
