I’ve been using vactan by performance chemicals in Belvedere for years I can’t speak highly enough of it But looking at your results I may give the bilt hamber product a go, thanks for the heads up

I use Bilthambers POR 80 rust converter on all my customers vehicles at Armour Rustproofing. May look into using this also, thanks for the heads up.

I have used the De-ox Gel and also their Hydrate 80 solution. Both fantastic.

I’ve had good results with Deox gel. I tend to fill one of those plastic containers you get from takeaways with the stuff and put the parr’s in and leave for a week with the lid on. I then reuse the same gel next time i need it.

If you can remove items to soak them, citric acid is very effective and much less costly than a lot of these packaged products. The equivalent for a soak is Deox-C, the gel is really aimed at painting onto a surface that you can't easily soak, such as one that cannot be removed from the vehicle.

Thanks for all your replies, its good to see others are using it. Here is another way to use it for bigger items.

Another vote for vactan, think it's £20 for a litre and lasts a year once open. It goes very far as it's a really thin liquid.
