Hey all, I always liked the look of these things. I have sold my van and looking for a new project. This is for sale really close to my place. This is the write up Driven 133,000 km Automatic transmission Exterior color: Grey ยท Interior color: Beige Seller's Description 2004 Rover 75 V6 petrol auto Good all round condition for age Runs and drives well Shouldn't require much for roadworthy Sold as is without rwc or rego I know it's 100% rust free and is apparently a fairly clean car. I see them come and go here so now and then and always like the look of them. The seller is asking $1790. I hope to get it for $1500 What do you think? Do or don't. Cheers

Nice enough car for the money ? What else could you get for the price, these are getting better with age I think, good platform with a smooth engine. Others will know lots more but that's no money for a clean old barge to smoke around in. James

Has the timing belt been got history of when last changed? Can be an expensive job if you have to pay someone to do it. Potentially a good bargaining point though?

I was just reading about the timing belt. I will ask tomorrow. I presume it has not been done. I think that there is not much service history either. But I can't wait to have a look at it. I'll take cash with me and hope for the best. I have done a little research and haven't come across really scary stories.

Well, I did not. What a pile of unloved rubbish. Blind Freddy painted the boot and roof, it looked horrible. 4 bolt tires. The leather upholstery was hard as a rock and looked really bad. The rest of the interior was disgusting. The bonnet could not be opened, there was not 1 panel without damage, the keys were broken, no service history, all wheels were badly damaged, 2 windows did not work etc etc
Then the was someone else that was waiting for the seller as well. He apparently told the seller that he was gonna buy it and to him it was a done deal. All up no good and I just left.
I will find something nice. I am not in a hurry.
Thanks
