So selling the wifes car to a online car buying site. Cant find the logbook and for some reason the wife thinks she never got one!
Question is if when we apply for a new one will the date of the application be on the logbook or date of purchase (which was two years ago) as the online buyer wont buy a car that is less than three months of ownership

Date of purchase if they look correctly at the application

I'm pretty sure that if you've had the car 2 years you would've taxed it? I don't believe you can do this without a logbook. Maybe wrong though

DVLA Vehicle Enquiry shows the date of last Logbook change if that is something you can check.
