i need to clean and re-proof the cloth soft top on SWMBO's A4 cabriolet again. the last time i did it i used the autoglym products and while it did an ok-ish job it didnt remove the really ingrained dirt or prevent the algae tint returning in the cloth. i have read some good reviews for the renonvo products (cleaner , colour reviver & proofer) but wondered if anyone on here has ever used it themselves?

On my mohair roof I used to used car shampoo and a scrubbing brush. Moved to washing up liquid and then Renovo. I've noticed no difference.
I used to use Fabsil then tried Renovo as it came with the cleaner. I'm going back to Fabsil.
Renovo works fine and there's nothing wrong with it. But I can't see any benefit to the cost for myself.

On my TT roof I've been using Cif mould stain remover to get rid of the green and white spots, and while I haven't got it clean enough to seal yet, it is so far the most effective cleaner I've found. I've tried a handful of other things, but not actually the Renovo stuff. Best thing about the Cif product is it's in a pound shop so you don't mind using loads of it.
