Since making the loom for the Herald 4+ years ago I've learnt more but also added more electrical bits as well. This has left an ok loom looking curse word now that there are extra cables and knowing I want to change a few things.
What I'm after is some kind of plug and socket which can be mounted to the bulkhead, allowing me to separate the engine bay from the car. I can't find any sort of surface mount waterproof socket with a matching (preferably right angles) plug. The body has to come off the chassis soon and the engine also needs to come out at some point and one plug would make life so much easier. I'm not sure how many pins I need off the top of my head, but "many" sounds about right.
I'm half tempted to get an ecu like one from and Astra G and mount that, but that obviously leads to issues making the connections on the other side! It's also not that easy finding a broken ecu and therefore cheap with plugs for sale.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
