	Like many I used to get Cars and Cars Conversions every month through the 80's. Unfortunately I lost all my magazines to a fire in the early 90's. Among the many articles I'd love to find there was one issue around 85ish that featured a box flared Metro with a RWD mid mounted Fiat twin cam (I think). I seem to recall the owner builder stating in the article that when he built it the 6R4 wasn't well known and he never expected people to get them confused. Does anyone happen to have that issue, or any other cool articles from CCC they could scan?

	Can you remember if it was a cover car or a readers car feature like the ' at the clinic ' section ? 	I remember that. The guy who built it cropped up much later working for an F1 team. I have lots of old issues but I'm not 100% certain how far back they go. I'm about to take the dog out but will have a root on my return.

	I think we've got every issue from about 65 to about 89, then 96 to the end of the magazine in 2003. I'd scan you the article, but they're at my dads place 200 miles away. 	I've got a huge stack of CCC from the 80s. They've been in the loft for years but I remember that cover so I'm pretty sure I have a copy. I'll have a look tomorrow.

	Ahh, good old CCC... Staple reading for me in late 60s, early 70s before I found Hot Car and Custom Car. Probably explains why I like my hot rods British with tuned 4 or 6 cylinder inline engines.

	Probably have a copy relatively easily accessible in the garage. Might even be one of the numerous duplicates. One of the 'garage clearing' activities on the list of Things To Do is sort through the numerous boxes of magazines, so this seems a good reason to start that job... Will try this evening if nobody else finds one first. EDIT: Anybody have any other requests while I am at it?

	So I've had a root around and have most copies from 1986 to 1991, which pretty much covers my time between learning to drive (AKA learning to fix broken Minis) and leaving university. Flicking through them, there's so much fantastic stuff - CCC seems to have made a big impression on a lot of us here. I also have the first couple of years of MiniWorld, an offshoot of CCC, before I switched to Beetles (cue more fixing) and started buying VolksWorld instead. Since I'm not going into work I can't use the big scanner there as I normally would. For now I've taken some photos of the Metro article and I'll scan it properly when I get a chance.
