Really sad news this morn of one of the greatest petrolheads of all time, Stirling Moss. You will be greatly missed sir.

A very sad day for any racing fan, he was the same age as my Dad who was a great fan of his, and its probably why I gotinvolved with cars and racing, I was given a model of one of his cars when i was very young and always loved cars since

I was very, very lucky to meet Sir Stirling a few years ago with my wife. He had an absolutely profound effect on me. He was an absolute gentleman, his eyes sparkled and he was utterly engaging.
He was also very very aware of how to treat who appreciated him - almost had to be physically moved on from talking to the public that he had so much time for, to make his next time slot!
A true gentleman and an absolute legend. RIP. We will be raising our glasses to him tonight.

Amazing gentleman and stated multiple times a true legend.
Read a comment that made me smile about his passing:
“Sir Stirling has not gone, he’s just one lap ahead of us”

Very sad news indeed - but very happy that I had the opportunity to watch him put an array of cars that he drove in period through their paces once again at various historic race meetings (primarily Goodwood)

I was fortunate to meet him a couple of years back. What an engaging man. Spoke to me like I was the most important person he had ever met. A more humble person you will never meet. Always a gentleman. I am glad his suffering is over. RIP...

Truly a sad day , I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Sir Stirling at Goodwood many years ago and despite being in his 80’s and having a huge workload he still had time for me. A true gentleman and a genuine talent that will be sorely missed by all.

Sir Stirling was driving in the classic event at the Le Mans 24 hr I went to in 2009, because someone fell off the track it turned into a parade, the great man was on the broadcasting system complaining about the lack of racing
He’d have been about 80!!😳
