This is my model build of an Airfix 1/32 Triumph Herald
This isnt the best kit in the world but it was a gift to me and has been unbuilt for a few years so I thought its time to give it a go
its too small a scale for me but I did my best - please note I build at an amateur level so therefore the finished model will have imperfections which reflects my skill level
summary: for its size the detail is quite good, airfix list it as a skill level 1, I have built quite a lot of kits but I think its much harder than a level 1, mainly due to how fiddly and poor fitting many of the parts are.
the wheels and tyres are plastic and moulded as one part, this makes paiting the rims almost impossible, I did try for cream rims but it was too hard for me] to get the back of the tyre painted well, so I just black sharpied the rims, didnt look too bad in the end.
the rear bumper is moulded to the body, so you lose detail there, the front was seperate! it would have been helpful for the bumpers, overriders, and hubcaps to have been in chrome plate.
rear lights were poor, no clear front lights, also poor.
didnt have much enthusiasm for this model, I tried my best.
