I'm looking to replace the wiper motor on my Vauxhall Magnum with a more modern one, and I've bought a new Astra 4 motor. The car already has two-speed wipers, but they're really slow compared to a modern car and I'm hoping the more modern motor will help.
The only problem is, I don't know what the connections should be. It has a five-pin connector, and the wire colours are white, black, yellow, brown and green. The black wire runs into the gearbox end of the motor, as does the green wire. The brown wire goes in there, but also daisy-chains to the motor body, along with the white and yellow wires.
Anyone have any ideas on which pin does what? I've had a search for Astra 4 wiring diagrams but I can't find one that will actually show me any detail. I have removed the pins from the connector now, but I have a note of which went where, so if anyone knows by pin number (as the motor wires might not match the loom wires, especially on an aftermarket motor) that would help too.
I have tried a few test connections from a spare battery and got nothing at all, but that might be just that the battery needs charging.
