For Porsche parts I got recommended Rose Passion and I'm passing that on to anyone else needing any Porsche bits : www.rosepassion.com/ ... They are based in France but their delivery seems to be quick and reasonably priced compared to UK based parts I've purchased. |

Mini Spares Centre in Potters Bar. Speak to Simon. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they're always spot on with quality. And if something goes wrong they'll sort it out for you. I had a problem with a wheel bearing set, and they changed it instantly with no questions asked. Plus they give me extra discount via The Mini Forum.

Depends exactly what you mean by supplier, as they don’t actually manufacture anything, but if you own any American car OR any car ever sold in the American market, Rockauto are amazing. They always seem to offer multiple qualities of any parts from numerous manufacturers, and they’ll tell you which are best and which are ‘budget’ and you can make your own choice based on price.
I order from them regularly and frequently get stuff in under 48hrs, if you pick the correct fedex air shipping option with duties paid upfront. I often get stuff quicker than UK suppliers can manage.
One example recently, I needed suspension parts for a Japanese truck that was sold in the uk from 1984-2011, but no one was interested or able to supply some specific bushings I needed, despite trying multiple specialists. The vehicle was sold in the US from 1985-1992, and I could buy MOOG polybushes for £25 delivered.
Plus, free fridge magnets.

I get 2 Fedex options and they both add VAT on at point of sale. Is that it? Yeah. There’s two speeds of shipping, one a bit faster (and therefore a bit more) than the other. The second one doesn’t necessarily take that much longer, but can be a lot cheaper if you’re shipping weighty stuff like cast iron master cyls or drums. As long as it’s a fedex option where you pay duty up front and get given a VAT number, that’s the right option. Pretty much nothing gets past border force without getting charged these days, not like the good old days when it was only about 1 in 3 got charged. So it’s actually ends up cheaper overall as you don’t get charged a handling fee, and it isn’t sat in a shed in Birmingham for up to two weeks. |

For me, Rimmer's have always come across and I tend to use them the most.
Delivery within 3-4 days even coming through customs. Also like the choice of manufacturer of parts.
Devon and Island have been fine as well.
Goodridge were excellent at replacing incorrect parts, once I'd named and shamed on Twitter having had no response to mails. Make up your own mind.
I can't deal with any US suppliers here, as the second you put "Philippines" in the box, it immediately asks for a US zip code, forgetting that the US ceded independence in 1946. Emails go unanswered and one owes me $250. So no, thanks.

For Porsches, I can recommend Rose Passion also. I can also recommend OPCs. The local branches IME tend to be quick and also cheaper than almost any specialist. As an example, a door actuator rod was £33 from a West Midlands Porsche shop. OPC? £3-4 depending on the branch I rang. Tow hooks suffered a similar issue with pricing from most 'specialists'. EMC Motorsport are also a specialist I can wholeheartedly recommend for Porsche and other cars. They tend to not work too much to time pressures but don't take the mick too much on timings ; they are the only garage I've had do an engine swap for me two (or even once!) where there were no issues with the engine swap. Rybrook and Cotswolds BMW (more the latter) are similar in that respect. I've had a couple of OE parts go iffy on my M3 from BMW but Hack Engineering have been great for catering for some upgrades there. He'll sometimes do a deal and generally sends the parts out very quick, preferring to sell what he knows works. Small wonder I keep going back for certain parts! MS Motorsport were great for dealing with some of the upgraded parts for my M3, tending to be cheaper than most for the same part, and with great advice and service. I have no issues with Martin there at all. RockAuto have been superb on the Merc and the M3 for me. I only started really using them for the Merc as I was getting silly prices for stuff over here. However, the quality of the parts is great ; I was stunned of the quality of the Denso HT leads, which rivalled Beru leads, which are about the best quality of HT lead I've seen on a car. The downside? Make sure you always pay the duty at their end, and they do offer this. You'll get the goods quicker and it'll save you paying Royal Fail's handling fee  . Another thumbs up for Mini Spares in Oldbury. They don't always get it right on the parts but they are willing to listen are very decent to deal with. I can also recommend SuperFlex. Despite selling the superb SuperPro bushes which are about the only Poly bush I'd use on a car, Chris has engineered some decent things for the Triumph community. For new tyres and tracking, Ross at BT Tyres in Rugby is very good. He's generally always balanced wheels up well for me, unlike the local guys near me, and is pretty flexible with options too. For power steering hoses, I'd look no further than dickdasterdley. He's also on here and will cater to most needs  . And now, I'll breathe . |
