Base car is a 1991 1.6 driver in Pasadena blue. the shell is solid with only a slight bit of bubbling by the rubber on the drivers side rear quarter window. There are a few marks around it (it is 29 years old now) but it does look presentable and the colour really pops when it's clean.
list of mods include
2.8 VR6
hydraulic clutch conversion using corrado peddle box
6 branch manifold
induction kit
vibra-technics engine mount
full 5 stud wide track conversion from the doner mk3 including vr6 brakes
height adjustable coilovers
corbeau reclining bucket seats
front and back strut braces
momo steering wheel
jetta front end
GTI rear window with spoiler
the car has been off the road for a number of years after the previous owner lost interest in it part way through the conversion and left it parked in his garage. since buying it last year ive gone over it and stripped, cleaned, greased and painted all the brakes ect. complete the engine conversion and got it back on the road.
work done to the car includes
new disks and pads all round (I believe the disks are grooved black diamond ones)
new track rod ends
new oil and filter
new tyres
original VR6 wheels powder coated
included with the car is the original golf slam panel (this has been powder coated black), a badgeless grill and 2 sets of smoked crystal headlights (both sets have damage to one light)
the car runs fine, it drives ok but bare in mind it is lowered and has a pretty much solid engine mount so it is a little stiff, id imagine anyone looking at a modified mk2 golf wouldn't be expecting a luxurious ride, but thought it worth mentioning just in case. I've put a fair amount of miles on this car since getting it back on the road and loved every minute, the noise is makes is addictive. the engine mileage is showing hundred and thirty something thousand miles (i'll get the exact mileage when I'm at the car), but there was a discrepancy with the mileage at the mot (tester put the wrong number down). MOT'ed until 15/11/2020
there's probably more that I've forgot , but any questions just ask and i'll do my best to answer them, but bare in mind I took this on as a half completed project so may not be able to answer everything about it.
