I will always remember when this fad was over the cars were near on unsellable. That amount of effort, money and temporary kudos turned an at-the-time 1500 - 2 grand 205GTI in stock form turn into a 500 quid lemon that nobody would go near. So many decent e30s, 205's, 190e's basically trashed by excess filler, plastic and massive rust traps. Rude mercs were the pinnacle of naff. Not a fan - never will be. www.bbc.co.uk/archive/motorcars/zhfq47hSome great videos there and skeete feature about pimping granadas in the 1980's

Not normally my sort of thing but that's not bad. I couldn't bring myself to do that to an E30 though. I never liked any of the wide-body kits like Dimma/Rieger etc though, they just looked cack.

Aaah, that's actually more the "Hovercraft" look that's popular with drifters Here's a JZX100 we saw in Tokyo in that style _DSC6653 by G C, on Flickr

Although 2 wheeled and from the late 1980's - the BMW k1 would sort of fit in with this look I reckon. I secretly still quite fancy one of these too... That reminds me of one of these

The Max power Carlton went through the front of a shop called Dr Rock in Bury, me and my mates were there watching it get pulled out. Exact same bend I wrote my Cossie off.
