www.discoveryuk.com/series/wheeler-dealers-dream-car-2/There is a new derivative of Wheeler Dealers on Discovery centred around Mike Brewer and Elvis getting a customer to part with their car and some cash in order for Mike to trade up a number of times for the customer to obtain their “Dream car”. I liked the format and the initial cars of the first couple of shows. Just watched episode 2 and one of the cars traded was I believe this Clan Crusader I believe it to be the same classic car dealer that’s selling it mentioned in the programme albeit at an increased price what was mentioned in the show some time ago unless it has come back after being traded in. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clan-Crusader/133302746255?hash=item1f09767c8f:g:Lv0AAOSwdjtdc19Z

I enjoyed it although I much prefer Salvage Hunters Classic Cars. Mk2 2 door for 14k was a good buy I thought for Mike though.
Both the above shows are 10000 times better than Goblin Garage

Mmmmm Salvage Hunters - Classic Cars : Last week they went to see a Fiat 500 which had been off the road for 4 years having failed its MOT on excessive corrosion. They took it for a test drive on public roads and said that it was ok because the car was now MOT exempt . . . . .

I did wonder why someone who clearly worked at retroford who deal with classic fords and have all the parts he would need probably at cost price to build his own, why he would want mike to buy him a car.
He even had a st170 donor engine.
The escort he bought, for people who worry about log books is a 1.1GL and hasn’t had an MOT in over a year, and MOT advisory’s talk about rust, plus it had an oven door in the roof, the seats didn’t look good at all, I think the bloke would have been disappointed personally at what 14k had got him.
Although the car had clearly had some money spent on it
I like the show though.

I don't want to start getting to negative on RR but I noticed that and couldnt believe my ears! They even commented on how long the failure list was. These idiots have just educated most of their viewers, who are not experts, that once a car is MOT exempt there is no requirement to make sure its safe before using it on the road, which we know isnt true. How is it possible that two car dealers don't know that? Other than that I don't mind the program. I havent seen WD Dream cars, but it sounds worth a watch so thanks for posting.
