I have misplaced the key for my wheelnuts for my Saab. I don't have the code for it and the normal technique of bashing a socket over doesn't work because they have a rotating collar, presumably to stop you bashing a socket over.
Any ideas on removing them?

When i lost the key for my wheel nuts i had the same problem, rotating collar. I went to my local garage and they had a way of getting them off, basicly smashing a special tool on to the locking nut so that it took the shape of the pattern in the nut. They wanted more than I was willing to pay so visited my local nissan dealer. They had a big box of surplus wheel nut keys and 5 mins of searching found the one I needed, so they gave it to me. For nowt.
Aside from the special tool, or welding a bar to it, i couldnt think of any other way other than mashing the wheel up. Luckily i still had the original bag that the nuts came in, and it included a piece of paper with a code on it for the locker, so if i needed to order another one I knew what the number was. Do you still have that?

My brother's Range Rover Sport suffered a similar problem, when a local garage mislaid the original locking nut key (again, spinning collar type nuts). We took it to a local Land-Rover dealer, and they had a box full of the things; it took a good half hour or so trying various ones until we found one that fit.
The local garage covered the cost of the replacement - approx. £30.

Sadly there are no Saab dealers but I might give my local Vauxhall dealer a call as I believe they use the same ones.
The keys are on eBay if you can pin down the right one and I think I have it down to two.

there are companies that will match the key if you send a photo of the pattern. www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk/When you get them off chuck them in the bin and replace with ordinary wheel bolts. No one nicks wheels they'll have the car away if they want it.

Go to a good tyre shop and ask them to remove them.
I'd personally get normal nuts in place. The travellers will steal the car if they can't get the wheels off...

try local backstreet tyre place, but I agree with others, replace with a standard nut/bolt
I do this on all of the cars I have had, locking wheel nuts are a pain in the arris especially for those of us who are tinkerers and like to have wheels off and on quite often
people used to nick wheels many years ago, mainly because not many cars had alloys, and prices for a set of wheels was quite high, don't think that is the case anymore.

Weld a bolt off centre on the locking nut, turn the welder well up to make certain it holds. They'll loosen handy enough then, had to do the same a month ago

Having been in a very similar position to you, but thankfully with the remains of the broken key to decipher the code, I can confirm Saab used the same generic GM locking nuts as Vauxhall.
I hope your local Vauxhall dealer's helpful, I've not found one that is yet. You may well get "what's your VIN? Oh we can't look up Saabs so can't help you, sorry." Fingers crossed for you.

It's worth hunting high and low in the car before anything else - check the usual places such as door pockets, glovebox, ashtray(s), boot, under the seats, spare wheel, other cubby holes, etc. Also, check for any possibility it may have fallen down behind the glovebox into the centre console, perhaps - many a BMW E30 glovebox torch ended up under the centre console, only to be discovered years later!

Happy ending - lmfvauxhall on eBay matched it from a photo. Once I have replacement nuts, the locking ones are going in the bin.

Good stuff. Replaced all mine with standard bolts too. Standard wheels in reasonably poor condition so not much risk.
