Absolutely awesome set of photos from both of you. That Bentley LMP car is something else, still looks like it is from the future. I absolutely love this Shame the weather was a bit rough this year. Anyone know how it compares to Donnington's Classic festival thing? Better? About the same?

Nice pit shots jmsheahan Most of mine are from two stands overlooking the village/the loop so we didn't really stray so far! HoTWire Weather on the Sunday wasn't too bad really, a bit damp early on but then dry and colder than ideal. I think I prefer Donnington for a day trip though haven't been for a couple of years. Silverstone is a big show and it always feels like an age to walk from one bit to another. If you've only got a day then you're inevitably going to miss stuff. I think spectating at Donnington is better and I just prefer the slightly less 'corporate' atmosphere than the one at Silverstone. Here's a few more photos, this time taken by my daughter, who was using a longer lens for the first time on her camera.

If you've only got a day then you're inevitably going to miss stuff. I've been to Silverstone for two things, VSCC a few years back and more recently the CSCC meet. When I was at CSCC there were other areas of the track being used for other events, as well as the Porsche center and karting track of some sort. I didn't realise until that second visit just how vast of a venue it is. I guess they use the whole thing for the Classic?

The modern 'international' paddock houses most of the heavy hitters and the old paddock houses the other racers inc the vintage lot - some gems though, it was there that we had a close look at Ol Yeller II a couple of years ago and had a long chat with its owner. The A lot of the rest of the infield is full of car club displays, trade stands etc.
