I have a Tripod Engine Hoist Including Block & Tackle for Sale £80 (Collection Only Midlands)
When set up for lifting its around 9' tall capable of lifting a classic mini engine and box or a ford pinto engine for a vertical lift.

That’s an interesting thing - when it’s assembled, any idea what the span is at the bottom of the legs?

I would say about three meters the first picture shows the legs in position and they are about 1.25meters spread there.

I think that’s going to be too wide at the base for what I’m thinking of. Pity, looks like it packs down into something more storage friendly than a regular engine crane.

Yes it does pack away very tidy just long and heavy. OH ER Misses
You could always shorten the legs.
