I removed a horrendous sticker from both my doors but it's left the outline behind what's the best way to get rid of this so you can no longer see the outline?
Tempted to use wet and dry paper but not sure if that's gonna do it or what grit I need.
Cheers

the outline will be probably be a glue line where the vinyl has shrunk
white spirit, turps, panel wipe possibly brake cleaner?, acetone if OH uses it for nails. test on a 'hidden area first

Heat. Either heat gun (cautiously) or boiling hot water, both along with a good quality micro fibre cloth...
Some decent 'tar & glue' products work as well. EX-MOTORTRADE and seen all of this done many, many times. Good Luck.

Have used Lynx deodorant, BUT I'VE ONLY TRIED IT ON GLASS, so no compo claims if it goes tits up! Do hundreds of pretty ladies follow everywhere you drive now? I tend to use a hair drier to remove stickers but if it's just the glue outline that remains I have a mooch around the garage for... white spirits, screwfix no nonsense penetrating oil, acetone, autoglym tar remover, auto finesse obliTARate and a cloth i'm willing to throw away afterwards. Afterwards I do a a proper wash on the panels that I've removed the glue from any any nearby panels that I might have got chemicals on or even the whole car if i've got time left.

Panel wipe has always worked for me, simple but effective.

My grandmother always removed stuff with peanutbutter. Probably not the one with bits of peanuts in it 😀

I've removed the excess glue but you can still see the outline in the paint work but not as much as before

Veg oil will take it off.
Then wash the car to remove the veg oil.
