So it was my birthday over the weekend and ive been going on about new tool boxes for ages... The wife surprised me with some of the big DeWalt TSTAK boxes they are awesome!!! big enough to fit my 3 drills and all there accessories in one box. Id like to line them with some thick foam, with drill shapes (for example) cut out so I can then layer the box to make the most use of the space. A layer would consist of a 4-5mm piece of ply with foam glued to it, so it would be stiff enough to lift, possible with some sort of handle at each side. Does anyone know a cheap way to get the foam? I had originally though house insulation but its all foil backed now and starts at about £30.

I got some gardening kneeling mats from a market. They were 2 for a quid.

Was thinking something a bit thicker... 3 inches possibly. To allow a to sit down into it. Yoga mat could be nice on top for a splash of colour lol.

There's are things called Yoga blocks which might work - about 40mm thick But what you're really looking for is 'Flight Case Foam' - as in the stuff Photographers / Hit-men / DJs use - search on ebay - you can buy it by the yard.

Kaizen foam is the stuff you require. Company in USA make it. Hard to get here and slightly pricy but the ultimate foam. Take a look on YouTube and see
