Proton Mpi 1.5GL Playa edition for sale.
Rare car, believe there's now less than 200 on the road currently in the UK.
This one currently resides in Hampton Hill (TW12) or Bridgend (South Wales near Cardiff, CF33) and willing to deliver within reasonable distance of either for the cost of a train ticket back.
I originally bought this to use as a donor car as I'm currently restoring my fathers mpi back to its former glory (expensive sentimental drivel!) but it would be such a shame to break as its in such good original condition.
I'm hoping it can go to an enthusiast or collector, or someone who will look after and enjoy it. Currently for sale at what its worth to me in parts, I'm not totally heartless and open to offers, however nothing silly please.
44K miles from new (less than 2k per year) with full service history. I'm told by the one previous owner (an elderly gent) that it was only used for a few trips but mostly for weekly run to the local shops. As he is now too old to drive the family decided to sell it on.
Bullet proof reliability. 1.5 engine pulls well and easily kept pace at 70mph+ on the motorway from Sheffield to Hampton.
Its pretty uncivilised by modern standards, no electric windows, mirrors however manually adjustable and fully working, less to go wrong, invaluable on a classic car.
It does enjoy the luxury of a sunroof and folding rear seats, lots of load space if required and some quite rare 13" alloy wheels with decent tyres all round.
Paintwork is pretty good, could do with a bit of smartening up here and there and a good polish. Unfortunately every corner has a scuff however these0 things would be very easy and inexpensive to make perfect again.
Interior is immaculate, practically new.
Spare alloy wheel present.
Currently has MOT from April 2019, Taxed and on the road.
Lots of pictures available, unfortunately I can't seem to attach any? (assistance please)
I will keep this up for sale until 1st August at which time I'm afraid my insurance will renew and I will need to take it off the road. Hopefully someone will save it!
Looking for offers around £1500
