Any suggestions what this pipe fitting could be? It is the cam cover breather, fitted by Tony Pond Racing many years ago. It is bigger than AN4 and smaller than AN6, and a crude paint image with metric dimensions although I doubt it is a metric fitting, it is also quite worn and difficult to measure The thread measured with a digital vernier is 12.5mm diameter and thread pitch is 1.25mm but as said it probably is not a metric fitting Any suggestions much appreciated, thanks

Based on those measurements I'd say it's a 1/2" UNF thread so 1/2"-20SAE from your local hydraulics shop should fit.

Thanks Ian, from searching Google JIC and AN are the same. My fuel rail has JIC 6 fittings I tried that too, JIC 6 is slightly bigger than the pictured fitting, cannot find anything JIC -5 The 1/2"-20SAE look good size wise but I cannot find a female 45 or 90 degree fitting to fit a braided hose to.
It is a breather so does not need to be fuel or hydraulic spec
Something like this is needed, unfortunately I need to work now so back on this later, thanks again for your time

Problem solved, thread matched a gas fitting which identified as 1/4 BSP which matches air tools air line fittings. I could not find anything to fit and seal against the flare but as it is just breather I can get away with not sealing on the flare instead using a copper washer between the hex ends once tightened up, AN6 braided hose also fits nicely over the air line connector sealed with a crimp ring. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated
