Reassembling the Mk2 Polo, and in a moment of hamfisted glory (and a slight toys out the pram moment) I've broken the top connector on the "Fuel Vapour Separator (part number 052127177A, fact fans). Something to do with it being brittle 30 year old plastic and me having no hand-eye co-ordination.
Can I replace it with a metal version (ie www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK1-MK2-CADDY-MK1-JETTA-MK1-FUEL-PETROL-VAPOUR-SEPARATOR-EVAPORATOR/392158495115?hash=item5b4e77c18b:g:XrkAAOSw7ehXRvF3:rk:18:pf:0 or similar) - or must it be that specific type? I'm more than happy to run some longer lines and mount it somewhere different...
And what the dickens does it do? Feed vapours back to the tank?
