When flames were in,
when cars were raised at the back and not slammed,
when multicoloured enginerooms got lots of oohs and arhhhhs!
when fluffy interiors were not frowned on,
when original Cosmics, Brm´s could be had for a tenner,
when the coolest car in our street was a V6 Anglia or HA Viva Van selfmade estate with handpainted dessert island pictures all down the side and Cosmics!
when my neighbour came home with a new company car and instead of the usual Cortina he had ordered 1300Capri and got into sh*t with his wife ´cause he hadn´t told her and it only had two doors!

Love it, those were the days.

Looking at the sidewinder trike - I can just see stepping on the accelerator and not going anywhere except for upside down immediatley followed by blacking out

I'm really feeling this stuff now, that's AK's fault mostly.
Incidentally Alistair, I remember about 2 or 3 years ago seeing a metallic blue big vauxhall (Viscount? Cresta?) with an ass in the air stance, slotmags and lakes pipes around your neck of the woods quite a few times.... was that anything to do with you? I find it hard to believe a big old Vauxhall with 70's styling and Slotmags in your area didn't have some sort of connection to you
