Rare saffron colour especially AWD Manual.
Recently the car has had: a new clutch, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, Coolent temperature sensor.
The car has a LPG conversion, which works excellently and averages 28 MPG in gas.
I will take a photo of the engine bay tomorrow.
Exterior
The exterior is in overall good condition with the only scrape on the bumper ( see photos). Expect a few age related marks on the doors.
The car is fairly original, the only modification is the upgraded headlights, which are much better at night.
Interior
Again, overall in nice condition for the age and mileage, only real wear on the steering wheel and gear knob, but from that it comes with the original floor mats and aluminium trim as standard. Usual equipment including: climate control, AC, cruise control, heated alcantara seats and the original Volvo boot cover.
Engine
The engine is strong for the mileage and has had a gas kit conversion on, which works very well. With gas the car is doing around 28 MPG on a run which makes it much more affordable every day.
Service history
Te car has stacks of service history, with most of it from the Volvo main dealer then from the last few years at an independent Volvo specialist.
Bad points
However, the car does require a little work to become the concours car that it was once.
The propshaft was removed, but I have a replacement that will go with the car, as I wanted to reinstall the AWD system. The previous owner said that it was removed due to the centre bearing, not the rear differential or transfer box.
The ABS and TRACS light is on which is an ABS sensor on the rear.
It will also need some tyres for the MOT in January.
There’s a knocking noise coming from the rear, suspected some sort of bushes but haven’t looked into this.
And the slight scrape on the rear.
Overall this is a honest car, that requires a little work, but an excellent car especially the stacks of history. However, wouldn’t take much for it to become an excellent immaculate example.
