	Replacing the rear brakes on my 1980 88", and noticed the rear wheels don't spin freely, taken drums off and still tight to turn, so its not the brakes binding. Removed half shaft to check wheel bearings thinking they are too tight but they are fine as without the halfshaft in, the hub will turn nicely. The handbrake/transmission brake isn't binding, and holding the rear prop and trying to turn that, is quite hard, so why is my axle tight?? Thanks

	Sadly you may need to dismantle the old chariot to isolate the tight part. Could I suggest prop disconnecting at one end to identify if it's axle or gearbox end. The axles are simple and half-shaft removal is fairly swift, as is the diff too. All good old-tech stuff! I miss my dear old Land-Rover for that very reason........ Best of luck getting it sorted

	Try taking the prop off as above, if that makes no effect has someone fitted a LSD? To find out jack up both sides if it turns freely either the diff is seized or you have a LSD.
