Sad news indeed that the Donnington F1 museum will be closing up next month on the 5th. It's disrespectful that the circuits new owners cannot see the importance of this fantastic collection of cars & motoring memorabilia. I for one will be going down once more, to enjoy these cars for the last time at Donny.

Very sad news, I visited the museum in 1977 (James Hunt's World championship McLaren was in pride of place) and it was on the list of places to visit when the MX5 is back on the road.
I hope somebody can keep the collection together.

What a damn shame. Always enjoyed a wander around. Last time I was there, they'd wheeled the BRM V16 out for a fire up before that weekend's historic race that we were there for. That was nice to stand next to. Probably knocked five years off my hearing!  Does this bode well for the circuit's future? Thin end of the wedge and all that? |
