After a bit of advice chaps, I'm doing an engine conversion on my RX7 and going from a carb'd turbo'd engine to a fuel injected turbo engine and need to install a swirl pot. I don't want any of the fuel system inside the passenger compartment so need to put the pot either somewhere under the car or within the engine bay if possible. Space is limited under the car so I was wondering about fitting a bulkhead mounted swirl pot within the engine bay with the lift pump still under the car and the main EFI pump in the engine bay.
Not having done this before I was wondering have safe this would be within the engine bay as turbocharged rotaries kick out a load of heat.... where is everyone else mounting their swirl pots?...
I was thinking a something along the lines of this...
