I have 3 old mowers in need of tlc. Looking at the exhausts and spark plugs there is a fairly large carbon build up that I would like to remove. The mowers have been serviced with new plugs etc. So I am pretty confident the mix is about right.
I don't really want to strip them down unless necessary so is there an additive that really works or a spray into the cylinder? Or a squirt of brake cleaner into the carb?
Many thanks

This gut has tested all sorts of ways of doing what you're looking at. Incidentally he has loads of other interesting back-to-back tests on tape, glue, penetrating oils etc...

I have used a spray for powerboat engines to clean burnt castor oil off model aircraft engines, and that stuff sets like rock. Quicksilver Power Tune. Whether it will touch carbon I don't know but it's the only thing I have seen clear the burnt on castor deposits
