Ive got a 2002 golf tdi estate with intergalactic miles on it.
Ive changed the front wishbones today and now have a strange noise coming from the drivers side front wheel.
Sometime in the past, somebody has sheared off the brake disc locating screws so without the wheels on, the discs are free to move.
The problem is, aswell as being able to rotate on the hubs, the discs also "drop" about 10mm so the holes are a pig to line up.
I was wondering if the disc centre hole should fit snugly on the hub centre spigot? Mine obviously don't.
I'm just a bit concerned that after fighting to get the wheels back on and trying line the holes up with a screwdriver, the discs might be slightly off centre causing the worn inner edge to rub on the edge of the pads?
