Hi,
welcome to the listing for my 1999 volvo V70, i bought this with big intentions of going full race-car on it. but i really don't have the time with running a business and planning a few trips into europe.
to start off the basics, she's at around 147.xxx miles with stacks of paperwork. and has MOT until 04/05/2019 with only 2 advisories;
- Nearside Front Brake hose slightly chafed (3.6.B.4d)
- Offside Front Brake hose slightly deteriorated (3.6.B.4d)
Mechanically this car is EXCELLENT, i have owned a lot of 850s/p1 cars and this is driving spot on, even the air conditioning is beautifully cold (lovely in the current weather)
the bad bits;
- interior is messy, i removed most of the boot interior because the last owner used this car as a workhorse for his business and it was COVERED in a lot of chemicals/plastics and the carpets were completely ruined. but the rear seats/front is presentable (still not great) personally i was planning to strip out the entire interior anyway, so didn't really bother me.
- the windows can be sticky, particularly the rear, however they all work, and i believe that it's likely just the contacts in the switches.
- in general the exterior is tidy, however it's not without it's marks, there's scuffs on most corners, however only 1 that has really marked the paint (offside rear) but even this is not bad. and from a distance the car looks very tidy
so this car is perfect for a track day car, it's rare to see a non-sunroof model, and in general it's fairly basic spec (for one of these) without even having a trip computer. it would be fantastic basis for the track, i was thinking of just stripping it out, having a remap with a few minor modifications, and 300 bhp is quite realistic. however from what i can see this car is fantastic in every aspect mechanically, it would be really easy to fix those minor niggles and have a lovely daily driver here, good quality T5 manuals are getting rarer and rarer and this is a lovely thing.
I will add more pictures in the future, also to note, i still currently have most of the boot interior so it would maybe be saved if the next owner wanted. I would love to take this on a project but really now is not the best time.
viewing by appointment only as i work unspecified times. calls/texts welcome ; 07954 522 146
