I don't think I've seen this thread before so here it goes. Post up your favourite ever car picture. It can be one you've taken, one someone else has taken, from a magazine, newspaper or any other form of media you have available to you. To get the ball rolling this is mine This just does it for me. A run of the mill Rep mobile, turned into a fire breathing touring car and being driven to within an inch of its life! Perfect! So, what's yours???

In a similar vien to yours, I'm going to go for 2 pics that complete one of the most vivid memories in motorsport that I can remember. Still get just as exited when I watch it now. That Cleland and Soper moment. And now for a personal one, and why. When my dad passed away he left me his cars, amongst other things. My plan for one of them was to use it for a year, really enjoy it and make the most of it, then sell it. So I stuck a black stripe on the corner of the bonnet in memory of dad, and during that year I gave it a blast down to Cornwall for a week and it didnt miss a beat. Whilst doing a bit of mystery-tour-sightseeing we ended up in Mevagissey, cruised through the village and parked on a harbour wall near a lighthouse. Just parked the car and got out. As we walked off to look at the sights I turned to look at the car, as you do, and snapped this shot. Its my favourite for so many reasons. It wasnt planned, it wasnt staged and it marked the end of an era. When my dad bought the car in 1989 the first holiday we had was in Cornwall and we hadnt been back since. I love the memories of that car. When I look at this pic (which alone i think is a really nice shot) I look at the black stripe on the corner of the bonnet and just think...

Combining the love of all things Bond, 1970’s and anything wedge shaped this does it for me! 😎

This one, my car, my daughter, out for a picnic at Llyn Brenig after going to pick her up a new go kart. Got it on a canvas at home.

My old fasty, just a plain simple picture of everything I love about being an idiot and driving really low stupid old volkswagens.

This is probably my favourite pic of one of my cars. Taken by Chris Frosin (whose RR name I can't now remember) for aRetro Cars feature. As for general pictures of cars, this one has to be well up there.

I take quite a lot of car photos, and I've got a couple, both of my cars, and both taken by me, I don't know if its the photos I like as much as the memories they evoke, anyway, here they are... My '65 Mustang, the second American car I ever bought, the first being my '05 Mustang. I had got a loan, and saved like mad to buy my brand new '05 Mustang, and when I got it I had saved so much because I thought it was going to be so expensive, that actually I didn't need the loan at all. I told Mrs Pistonoppper that I was going to just spend it, and buy a classic Mustang, and jokingly showed her a photo of this ine that was for sale in Colorado. She said that it looked pretty cool, go for it! I didn't need telling twice, and that was the opening of the floodgates! The other thing was that I got in so much trouble with the other parents who belong to the health and safety brigade for being an irresponsible parent for driving about in a car with no seatbelts or airbags with two babies in the car. I told them all to stick it in their ear (or something like that) and ratchet tied my Kids chairs in the back seat! The other one was this... My first Firebird. Used it as my daily, it was just epic, and we did shopping it it, the school runs, holidays, everything. Everyone said that you can't use a car like this as a daily, and I couldn't see why not, back in 1978 when it was new it was someones daily so why not now? It was a 6.6 and it honestly wasn't much worse than running my Frontera, which also only got about 28 to the gallon. This is probably the prettiest car I've ever owned.

When I was younger all I ever wanted was a Pontiac Firebird! Never had the chance to own or even drive one but I'd still love one. They're getting a bit pricey these days though!

This thing of beauty is apparently running and driving, and sold for just $2,500.00 a couple of weeks back. eBay item number: 323245772994

I have several. They're photos of my cars because, as is coming through in this thread already, my favourites are influenced as much by the sentimental attachment as the actual subject matter. This one was the first RRG. 2007? 2008? A happy time, the only time we convoy'd together over for the show and camped - nobody else in this picture ever came back to the RRG again. They're friends and family I either don't see very much of any more, or not at all in some cases. I drove this dearly missed Skoda over with higher springs and we fitted (very) low springs on the racetrack at Haynes as it was the only level piece of tarmac we could find to jack on. That weekend was when we made lots of new RR friends and met some people for the first time in person, and I've several friends I've met through here that that RRG helped cement. The only proper multi-car roadtrip I've ever been part of and a great deal of fun - and I still had all my hair back then too. It was just a lot of fun and this picture actually captures that. And another one, actually again coming home from RRG, must be 2010 - hmm, my brother must have come to RRG twice then, so that wasn't 100% accurate above, because he came with me in the E28 too - and taken around 12pm on the western end of the A5 through Wales. If the first picture is my favourite because of everything it encapsulates, this one is my favourite from a photography point of view. This is a raw photo (not edited), taken on my dad's old Canon which is mine now, and everything about it is just perfect. Both cars I sold when starting my business and I miss them both. If I had endless space to keep cars I no longer need I would find them both again and keep them; they both have loads of memories attached to them.

Also high on the charts, fully aware you asked for one and I'm not sticking to it, are these: A fulfillment of a long held desire for a very rare car, just outside Conwy on the A55 Many years ago when I first started competing in the Austin 7 Ulster, not sure who took it but just a great action shot Just after picking up my M535i in, hmm, 2014? Wow! And driving it 550miles in one day to the Highlands to use as a friends wedding car a couple of days later. A glorious day to drive it, no radio, just that perfect stainless-steel enhanced burble, and this photo just outside of Berwick.

My very first car was a BMW 1802. That was sold before i got my license so, to me, that car never really counted... This was my first car. A 1977 Peugeot 104 1.1 N. the stood for Nothing! Not even an L. It had no radio, no cigarette lighter. No head rests, nothing. I bought it on the cheap. It was orange and a little bit of rust. My brother and I painted it yellow. It was a great car. Cheap to run and 100% fun for a first timer. We went up North (in the Netherlands) to see "de Elfsteden tocht". Went camping in it and with it all over in Holland. Found it one morning, while camping, covered in lady pads...Drove it at night into a cornfield after trying to drive on a dirt road without lights. Tied speakers on the roof an drove through Valkenburg (Netherlands) with classic music blaring. Still not sure why... Put sport seat and steering wheel in it from a 104 ZS. Got my first fine in it for wrong parking...speeding in that thing was a big ask...it wasn't very fast at all. Just an awesome car

Cool picture, what car is that please? It was hand built by my dad. Not sure what engine he used but it was all designed and built at his engineering business.
