Show me some great dash instruments ...

Loved the Astra GTE dash.

Loved this one so much I used it in my Toledo, it's original home was a Nova SR. Simple, clean easy to understand and all the info you need in one compact package. It's a shame the PCB is dying and I will have to replace it soon with something less ergonomic. PCB's for this are NLA, big surprise!

A colleague was showing off his GTE in the early 90's by giving me a high speed ride when the dash 'fizzed' a bit and dimmed. Vauxhall demanded over £700.00 (early 90's) for a new instrument module.

I love this photo. I dare to say, that it is quality wise not even a
great photo but I just love it's content. It's big wooden
steering wheel, the dials the whole lot. I love it.

A contender for "the eye of the beholder". Do I like this dashboard? No, not at all, despite having several spare sets of indicator / wiper stalks for it:



Would I like to have the car it's in, a Towns Aston Martin Lagonda? Yes, I think I would. A lovely thing in many ways, perhaps it could be driven with a sheet over the dash. It's not as if it's likely to still be working anyway.
