Hi guys,
As a 60th birthday present for my dad, me and my brother arranged for a holiday in Las Vegas 😁 It’s just under a week before we jet off so I’m having a look through Trip Adviser (other websites are available) for some stuff to do.
Initially we was going to have a look at Counts Customs, Welderup, etc. but they all seem to charge a fortune for not a lot really. Does anyone have any experiences of the places? and is it worth it?
We’re already booked for track racing on a desert track but was looking for something else as well that wasn’t racing supercars around a track, unless they were classics (my dad really wants to race an early Corvette) but I can’t find anything like that.
Any other places, tips or advice would be very greatly received! 😁

Lucky man am well jealous. I loved it when I went. Go to the car collection in the HARRAHS casino if it's still there. I was told there was a nice wee collection of cars.Fxxk me I nearly passed out the guy who owns other is a true car nut and a gentleman too. I went in and asked if I could go in one of my favourite cars. A rs 200 group b car. As he had 4 of them he said yes not a problem sir. The collection is amazing to say the least. You will not be disappointed. Let us know how you get on. And have a lucky time.

Death Valley has some great driving roads. Upgrade your hire car, and head out via Pahrump and enjoy.

Drivepetty.com. Vegas speedway is about thirty minutes from the main strip.

Visit Shelby  They're on your left just after leaving the airport on the way into town. Most afternoons there's a free guided tour of the museum cars, and a quick visit to the factory floor. |

As you drive out of Vegas towards the Hoover dam there is a car dealership which used to sell some interesting custom motors, on the right as you are almost out of the built up areas.

Count customs was free when I went a couple of years ago although merchandise was expensive but you don't have to buy anything. Don't walk there from the strip. There is a free shuttle from the gold and silver pawn shop.
There is museum type place with a few interesting cars called hot rod City. Taxi to get there from tropicana end of strip. The showroom on the 13th floor of the linq is cool and where else could you see 4 rs200's in one place.
There was a rat rod show (rat city ruckas) down by the gold and silver pawn shop opposite the stratosphere while I was there which was great. Might be worth googling that as it was 2 years ago next week I was there. If you miss it I have some pictures I could load up.
Enjoy it. Great place. Edit the rat rod show was 26th March in 2016

came back from Vegas 4 weeks ago and can confirm the Shelby Museum, Welderup garage and Counts Kustoms are all free to visit. We went to Nostalgia Hot rods, What an amazing collection of cars and we were given a great tour by the owners' daughter who was very knowledgable and allowed to start them up.
